Join us for an eye opening selection of films from Bengal and the Indian sub-continent. The four day festival will be attended by international film talent, directors, producers, distributors and film / media personalities.

Our 2024 programme will be taking place with a red carpet launch in the heart of the East End, at the gigantic 566 seater screen at Genesis Cinema on the 25th of April, followed by screening and events until the closing on the 28th of April. In addition to the great line up of films, there will be other activities benefiting film makers from special talks to networking lunches and tours.

Synopsis: Bengali's of New York and Togbog present New York's story, which is incomplete without the Bangladeshi-owned food carts ever-present in the streets of the Big Apple. Bengalis of New York (BoNY), a platform dedicated to celebrating Bengali culture and people, started off as a project in 2018 documenting and filming the stories of Bangladeshi immigrants who started a business around their passion for food. See how it all began in this original documentary presented by BoNY and Togbog.

Synopsis: Ritwik Kumar Ghatak, a filmmaker, born ahead of time for the content he created. His cinema brought forward the irony of life, while he himself remained behind the scenes. Being Theatrical he partitioned himself from the regular form of achievements and pickup the medium of cinema to reach mass people with his ways of portraying sorrows to bring epic sense of life and its continuity. He could neither become a caring husband, nor an optimum father but left behind a number of stalwarts of Indian cinema.
